Description: The Mendo Bench encompasses the best of hand-craftsmanship and contemporary design. A completely original form, inspired by a wave, this bench requires many hours of hand carving to complete. The seat is crafted from a single width slab that is transformed from tree to sculpture. Each surface on the base is pillowed, lending this design an approachable organic quality. The Mendo Bench won a first place furniture design prize and has been featured in Fine Woodworking’s Magazine’s Design Book 8: Original Furniture From the World’s Finest Craftsmen.
